Job Details:
EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited college or university. Bachelors Degree in Nursing. Will consider Physician, Medical Technologist, Physician Assistant or Perfusionist.
EXPERIENCE: 3 years experience in acute healthcare environment. Knowledge of transfusion practices and related issues.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Possession of current Texas State License as required for profession.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must have eye/hand/foot coordination, finger/fine dexterity and be able to handle/grip/squeeze. Must be capable of transferring-vertical/horizontal, lifting carrying 21 to 35 pounds and be able to push/pull, climb, stoop/bend, walk, sit, stand, hold and reach.
SUMMARY: Acts as liaison within the hospital environment to ensure that blood management and transfusion related activities are conducted in the safest possible manner and meet or exceed all existing safety and regulatory requirements.
