Memorial Health System performed 366 Open Heart Surgeries in 2009. Provides for the management of all cardiovascular perfusion cases and cases that require extra-corporeal circulatory services. MHS perfusion department is responsible for a very active intra-operative blood salvage program and is responsible for processing prp and bmac for all surgical specialties.
Must be available within 30 minutes of call. Required to take call on a rotational basis.
Minimum Education: Graduate of accredited CAHEA Perfusion school. Must be certified by the American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (ABCP). BLS.
Minimum Experience: At least 3 Years direct experience as a Perfusionist.
Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 lbs of force occasionally, or 25 to 50 lbs of force frequently, or 10 to 20 lbs of force constantly to move objects.
