We support and care for a case mix similar to that of a teaching hospital yet in a community hospital setting.
Job Details
MBMC, does approximately 750 adult cardiac procedures annually, with minimal off pump activity and a large population of aortic patients. Our 5 full time perfusion team members also provide autotransfusion and platelet gel services for selected general surgery procedures. We also cover IABP services hospital wide from cath lab, surgery to ICU's. Our Perfusion Point of care testing services is the largest in the hospital, providing blood gas, chemistry, ACT, TEG, and Platelet Mapping testing and analysis for all cardiac procedures. We assist in the sensing and ablation for atrial fib in surgery. We also provide support for the rare VAD and ECMO procedures. Our team is routinely involved in various clinical research opportunities related to cardiac perfusion.
Qualifications
* Board eligible, certified or certifiable with American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion
* Minimum of 2-3 years of adult perfusion experience preferred
* Bachelors required, Masters, Perfusion preferred
* Consideration will be given to all qualified applicants.
