The Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the East Carolina Heart Institute at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC has an opening for a full time staff perfusionist. Greenville is located in eastern NC and is approximately 1.5 hours from the beach. A staff of five (5) provides perfusion services to the East Carolina Heart Institute. ECHI is one of the leading Robotic Heart Centers in the country. Our current volume is approximately 1000 cases per year with fewer than 10% off pump. Experience with open and closed systems, assisted venous return, POC testing, autotransfusion, ventricular assist devices and IABP are desirable.
