Cardiovascular Perfusionist
*Position Summary: Responsible for setting up and operating Heart-Lung Machine and other support equipment ( Intra-Aortic balloon, Autologous blood recovery, ECMO, etc…) for Open Heart Surgery. Requirements: **THIS IS A PER DIEM POSITION PLEASE APPLY ACCORDINGLY** **NO NEW GRADS AT THIS TIME** *Experience: 5 or more years of solid perfusion experience
*Education: Graduate of an Accredited Perfusion Training Program.
*Required License / Credentials: American Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion certified/eligible.
*Other Required Skills: Rapid technical changes in the field requires reading, site visits, and seminar attendance to attain C.E. points required for recertification.
*Contact With Others: Regular contact with medical professionals and patients requires tact and discretion.
*Supervision Given: Part-time supervision of Perfusion Assistant and Perfusion Students.
*Supervision Received: Performs duties ass defined by protocols approved by Chiefs of Perfusion and Surgery. Follows directions provided by Attending Surgeon.
